At Advantage Aquatics, we believe that swimming is for everyone and it is one of the most important life skills to learn. Our EPIC (adapted swimming) program is designed to provide safe, enjoyable and effective swimming lessons for individuals with physical, developmental, cognitive and/or sensory challenges.
At Advantage Aquatics we have numerous staff members either working towards, or who have completed their certification through Autism Swim. The training that our staff has received means that these teachers are able to specialise in teaching children with autism and other abilities. Their training means they can understand our swimmers better and make improved adaptations to suit the students along the way. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn in a way that is conducive to their needs, and we are so proud of the steps these staff members are taking to create an even more inclusive learn to swim experience for our adapted aquatics students.
We also understand that some children favour a quieter environment to maximise their learning. That’s why we offer private lessons in satellite pools at The Ponds and Kellyville. Parents often tell us that one of the reasons they choose to swim with Advantage Aquatics is because we aren’t always as noisy and loud as other swim schools. They believe the quieter environment helps their child feel less anxious and they are often able to focus and concentrate more effectively. This results in better learning outcomes, and helps us to create safer swimmers of all abilities. So, whether the goal is safety, fitness, or competitive swimming, our team is here to support each swimmer’s unique journey.
