
Jo Johnson – Early Childhood Educator and Aqua Therapist
Jo Johnson has dedicated over 25 years to the field of early childhood education, with the past 20 years specialising in supporting children with disabilities. Her extensive experience includes working within transdisciplinary teams alongside Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists, which has allowed her to diversify her expertise and expand her knowledge base.
In March 2018, Jo relocated from Sydney to Bathurst and joined the team at BECIS. Recognising the unique opportunities provided by aquatic environments for skill development, Jo has recently completed her Austswim and Autism Swim training. These qualifications enable her to apply her extensive knowledge in a pool setting, offering children new ways to learn and grow.
Jo is passionate about fostering inclusion and participation for all children, focusing on the development of individual skills and ensuring their safety in and around water.

- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- Austswim Accredited Instructor
- Autism Swim Accredited Instructor
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certification
About BECIS Aqua Therapy:
BECIS offers 30-minute Aqua Therapy sessions during school terms, designed to support child development, promote water safety, and help achieve NDIS goals.
As an approved NDIS provider, BECIS is committed to delivering tailored, high-quality services that empower children to reach their potential.
Sessions will be held at Manning Aquatic Centre, Bathurst.
