Hi, my name is Olivia and I’ve recently joined Salford Community Leisure as the new SEND Swimming Inclusion Officer, starting this month. Based in the North West of the UK, Salford Community Leisure offers a wide range of aquatic services including our Learn to Swim programme, 1-to-1 and private lessons, school swimming sessions, and the Starfish programme, which is specially designed to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). In my role, I will be working closely with Level Water, who have generously provided funding for both the position and my training. I’m excited to begin this journey and look forward to learning and contributing to inclusive swimming in our community.
I work out of our centres, we have 5 sites across Salford.
