G’day I’m Steve Waterman, a swimming and water safety educator committed to strengthening drowning prevention across regional and remote Western Australia. I deliver swimming lessons, Bronze Award, Lifeguard and CPR training for people of all ages and abilities, with a focus on practical skills that build confidence, capability and safer communities.
Based in Port Hedland, I provide accessible, community focused programs designed for the unique conditions of the Pilbara and wider regional WA. My lesson plans emphasise learn to swim skills, survival techniques, water safety awareness and basic rescue skills — all tailored to the environments local families and young people interact with every day.
