Hi, I’m Mac, an occupational therapist here at Northcott. I currently run the Sensory Splash program here on the Sunshine Coast. I have been in and around water my entire life, participating in surf lifesaving and swimming from as young as I can remember.
Prior to becoming an OT, I worked as a pool lifeguard and duty manager for 7 years at several pools across Adelaide and Sunshine Coast. I believe aquatic exploration with an Autism Swim accredited therapist is an excellent way for our neurodivergent children to access the benefits of water play in a safe and engaging therapy environment.
Sensory splash is a 1-on-1 aquatic OT program focusing on water familiarisation and safety, sensory exploration and play, and social skill development for all ages and abilities.
NDIS, fee for service, and Medicare funding options are accepted with our service
